Two full floors of one wing at the former New England Deaconess Hospital (now the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center) were renovated to create a new Psychiatric Ward. The nature of the facility required that special mechanical systems along with secure restroom facilities, windows and hardware be installed. A full nurses station and communication center complemented the hospital suite.
