A.J. Martini, Inc. completed renovations to the Special Collections/Archives area of the Schaffer Library. Access to the building was limited exclusively to the third floor of the building through one enlarged window opening. 8,000 square feet of area was air and moisture sealed. Following demolition, new finishes were installed including interior storm windows, ceilings, doors and floors. In order to eliminate the possibility of dust migration through the adjacent library areas, all work was performed under negative pressure with HEPA filtered air machines.
