A.J. Martini, Inc. is currently involved in the construction of the Peter Irving Wold Center for Science and Engineering at Union College located in Schenectady, New York.
The three-story facility will house space for interdisciplinary programs in biochemistry, environmental science and engineering. Highlights of the building include a high-performance computer lab, state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms and flexible spaces for cutting-edge interdisciplinary research. Upon completion the center will house a rooftop renewable energy lab and undertake research and demonstration projects related to energy and the environment.
The center has been designed to achieve LEED Gold status from the U.S. Green Building Council through the incorporation of sustainable approaches to site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
